My name is Jamacia. I was born in Guyana; my ethnicity is Guyanese. In Guyana our first language is English and we also speak a dialogue that we call Creole. I spent 15 years living in my country before moving to America with my family. I started to attend Pelham Lab High School, I learned about new things in my school and was granted a lot of opportunity that I did not get in my country. Now I am a senior in Pelham Lab and i’m preparing to attend college – while doing that I got accepted in to two colleges so far and got a full scholarship in one of the college I got accepted in. One of my goals in life is to become a social worker, I would like to become a social worker because I love helping people and counseling them too. As a child growing up I always loved singing and dancing, I always would sing and dance for my school or church. Doing those two things help put my mind at ease. I don’t want to get you bored about my life so I will just leave a little quote with you “ We will always have failure in life but never give up on what you want to achieve in life.”
